Harvey Nichols Names Julia Goddard as CEO

The Executive Joins After Her Role as EMEA President at Alexander McQueen

Harvey Nichols has announced its new chief executive officer, with Julia Goddard, who is currently serving as the EMEA president at Alexander McQueen, set to assume the role in June. Goddard will succeed interim CEO Pearson Poon, son of Harvey Nichols’ owner, Hong Kong property tycoon Dickson Poon.

The departure of former CEO Manju Malhotra, who served the company for 25 years, took place at the end of 2023.

During her 14-year tenure at McQueen, Goddard notably held the position of EMEA region president from 2019 to 2024. In this capacity, she spearheaded the expansion of the brand’s wholesale, retail, and e-concession channels, establishing flagship presence in key cities such as London, Paris, Milan, Rome, Dubai, Kuwait, and Qatar, with a particular emphasis on clienteling and VIP engagement.

In response to her appointment, Dickson Poon and Pearson Poon commended Goddard as “a dynamic business leader with a strong track record of delivering quality growth and successfully developing and executing a very important customer clienteling strategy. Her expertise and strategic capabilities will be invaluable in delivering long-term sustainable growth for Harvey Nichols.”

Goddard herself added, “The opportunities that exist within this iconic brand fill me with excitement and enthusiasm. I very much look forward to working with the team to accelerate growth and strengthen the position of Harvey Nichols.

Goddard’s successor at McQueen has not yet been named.
