The Madison Avenue flagship introduces the brand’s immersive functional perfumery concept and neuroscience-powered Feel Lab experience to the U.S. market
Initio Parfums Privés will open its first U.S. boutique this summer on New York City’s Madison Avenue, marking a significant step in the fragrance house’s international expansion. The store brings the brand’s Parisian retail concept to the United States for the first time, introducing its approach to functional perfumery, which positions fragrance as a tool for emotional and sensory experience rather than scent alone.

Designed as an extension of Initio’s Paris flagship, the boutique combines the brand’s signature visual identity with New York’s urban character. Architectural elements reference the house’s fragrance bottles through angular forms, ribbed glass, and the brand’s distinctive graphic motifs, creating a consistent retail environment while establishing a new presence in one of luxury retail’s most prominent shopping districts.
Beyond traditional fragrance retail, the boutique has been conceived as an immersive destination centered on personalized scent discovery. A dedicated lounge offers visitors a space for consultations and exploration, reinforcing the brand’s emphasis on fragrance as an emotional and experiential practice rather than simply a product purchase.
At the center of the boutique is the Feel Lab Experience, a proprietary technology that combines fragrance with neuroscience. Using a neuronal headset to measure brain activity, the system identifies a visitor’s instinctive emotional responses to different scents and recommends fragrances based on those reactions. Offered as a complimentary in-store experience, the technology reflects the growing intersection of luxury retail, personalization, and wellness-driven consumer engagement.
The New York opening underscores Initio Parfums Privés’ broader strategy of expanding through immersive brand environments that differentiate the house within the increasingly competitive luxury fragrance market. As experiential retail continues to shape consumer expectations, the Madison Avenue boutique positions the brand at the intersection of perfumery, technology, and personalized luxury.
