JW Anderson Opens Permanent Paris Store

The 625-square-foot space at Galeries Lafayette expands the brand’s Paris presence and advances its growing focus on design, homewares and collectible objects

JW Anderson has opened its first permanent Paris location at Galeries Lafayette’s flagship department store on Boulevard Haussmann, following a three-month pop-up on Rue du Louvre that launched in July. The 625-square-foot space, located on the second floor, brings together ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, homewares and garden-related objects, reflecting the British brand’s expanding lifestyle focus.

The new retail space follows the temporary location, which gave the brand an opportunity to establish a presence in Paris and better understand local customers while searching for a permanent site. The Galeries Lafayette corner combines clothing with furniture and a curated selection of artisanal objects, extending the assortment beyond traditional fashion categories.

The interiors were designed by U.K.-based architects Carlos Sanchez and Tom Benton, who also worked on JW Anderson’s London and Milan flagships. Their design uses raw materials, wood and tactile surfaces, punctuated by brighter colors and decorative references to wildlife and nature. Pigeon, canary and hedgehog figurines appear alongside hand-knitted bag charms shaped like vegetables and birds, bringing the brand’s interest in craft and collectible design into the retail environment.

The opening reflects JW Anderson’s broader evolution beyond ready-to-wear, with art, design and collectible objects becoming increasingly central to the brand’s identity. Through one-off pieces, limited editions and collaborations, the label continues to bring fashion together with a wider range of creative disciplines.

Anderson also serves as creative director of Dior and designs a collection for Uniqlo, while JW Anderson continues to develop its own identity beyond ready-to-wear. The permanent Paris location gives the brand a new base in a major luxury retail market and a setting to present fashion alongside the wider creative interests shaping its business.
