Review of Lanvin Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Art Director M/M Paris and Photographer Steven Meisel with models Raquel Zimmermann, Bibi Breslin, Nanne Groenewegen, Maty Fall, Pierrick George, and Jun Yeong Baeck
Lanvin concludes its “Character Studies” series with a final intimate chapter that looks back on an era of rediscovery and gets us ready for the brand’s next big move. The campaign was shot by photographer Steven Meisel with art direction from M/M Paris.
The portrait series offers a final look at Meisel’s intimate exploration of persona that has come to characterize the house’s newest chapter under the creative director transition from Bruno Sialleli to Peter Copping. Anchored by returning muse Raquel Zimmermann, the campaign also features new faces, emphasizing a sense of the luxury of intimacy and individuality.
The “Character Studies” series in partnership with Meisel was initiated under Sialleli in 2022, and has since provided a consistent backbone to the brand’s marketing and communication aesthetic during the brand’s creative renaissance. Now that we await the first collection from Copping, which is set to debut in early 2025, this final chapter puts a conclusion on this intimate exploration of nostalgic luxury, both paying tribute to the house’s roots as the oldest Parisian fashion house and paving the way for much more to come. We’re looking forward to it.
