Available at Loewe Stores, the New Issue Includes Features with Juergen Teller, Ben Wishaw, and More
Loewe has released the fifth edition of its quarterly magazine, an in-depth publication that explores the creative world surrounding its latest collections and collaborations. The new issue features an array of high-profile interviews, editorial features, and unique storytelling around the house’s Spring 2025 pre-collection, along with a focus on artistic ventures and exclusive brand partnerships.
The magazine includes an interview with actor Ben Whishaw, who is set to portray the late artist Peter Hujar in an upcoming biopic. Whishaw discusses Hujar’s life and work with photography critic Vince Aletti, who was a friend of the artist. This dialogue is complemented by visual reflections on Loewe’s menswear collection in conversation with art and architecture icons like Paul Thek, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Carlo Scarpa, Susan Sontag, and Hujar himself.
Another highlight of the issue is a behind-the-scenes look at the Spring 2025 pre-collection photoshoot, where creative director Jonathan Anderson and photographer Juergen Teller capture actors Ayo Edebiri, Ambika Mod, Drew Starkey, Leo Woodall, and Thai superstar and Loewe global ambassador Baifern Pimchanok. The photoshoot blends high fashion with eclectic personalities, featuring characters like surfers, bikers, and ballet dancers alongside the cast of celebrities.
In a playful turn, the magazine introduces “Loewe United,” a fantasy football-style feature that invites readers to curate a dream team using portraits of the Spring/Summer 2025 show’s front-row guests. Star “players” such as Kevin Abstract, Pedro Almodóvar, Omar Apollo, Kit Connor, and Jeff Goldblum are presented as collectible stickers.
The issue also celebrates the holiday season with a feature on Japanese ceramicist Suna Fujita, who returns for a second collaboration with Loewe. Fujita’s whimsical designs, seen on the cover in a fold-out poster, inspire a playful look at gift-giving across species—from Loewe’s popular Pocket bag to a pebble, which penguins reportedly consider a romantic gesture.
Further features explore Loewe’s commitment to craftsmanship and olfactory art. The brand’s nose, Nuria Cruelles, discusses the connection between scent and attraction with Professor Craig Roberts, an expert in behavior and pheromones. The magazine also marks the recent opening of Casa Loewe in Seoul’s Gangnam district with a profile on jiseung paper weaver Youngsoon Lee, who guides readers through the side streets of Seoul.
Loewe magazine issue five is available for free at Loewe stores worldwide starting November 14.
