Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Collection, Presented in Dedicated Pop-Ups in United States

LVMH Maisons celebrates their exceptional heritage through modernity, creativity and unique collaborations. A decade after their first meeting, Louis Vuitton continued conversation with Yayoi Kusama, creating infinity.

Louis Vuitton once again engaged with Yayoi Kusama for an encounter inspired by sincerity, iconoclasm, and above all a mutual appreciation of craft and excellence that transcend the commonplace. This new collaboration carries on Louis Vuitton’s long tradition of working with major artists and designers. In 2012 the renowned Japanese artist appropriated Louis Vuitton’s timeless trunk, hand-painting it with her emblematic polka dots. Continuing this dialogue, the new collaboration meticulously replicates these dots for an exuberant and intricate collection, drawing on the Maison’s renowned savoir-faire.

To celebrate the Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama collaboration, a series of locations around the globe showcase immersive art installations and pieces from the new collection. Harrods’ famous facade was reimagined in the artist’s colorful Painted Dots motif. Also, a massive inflatable figure of Kusama loomed over the Louis Vuitton flagship store in Paris.
