Pharrell Williams Also Stars in the Campaign for the Jewelry Capsule He Designed With Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany & Co. has unveiled its new “Tiffany Titan” collection in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, marking a significant blend of the musician’s creative direction and the jeweler’s craftsmanship. In celebration of the release, the LVMH-owned jewelry house released a campaign starring the multi-hyphenate creative director of Louis Vuitton himself.
The collection draws thematic inspiration from the mythological figure Poseidon and his trident, featuring spear-like shapes in designs that include necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings crafted in 18-karat yellow gold or titanium, and accented with diamonds.
“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection ‘Titan’ draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis — Atlantis, which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach,” Williams explained. “The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.”
In the campaign, Williams is portrayed wearing an 18-karat gold chain bracelet and a necklace, both designed in the distinctive spear shape that characterizes the collection.
Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President of Product, Communications, and Industrial at Tiffany, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We are excited to unveil Pharrell’s inaugural collection for Tiffany,” Arnault stated. “The Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection defies the conventions of fine jewelry design. It represents a balance of Pharrell’s creative vision with Tiffany & Co.’s inventive craftsmanship. Each piece embodies Pharrell’s distinct style and unique point of view.”
The collection was celebrated at a high-profile event last month at The Landmark, Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship store. The event attracted celebrities including Blake Lively, A$AP Rocky, Blackpink’s Rosé, Rosalía, Ayo Edebiri, Gabrielle Union, and others.
