Top 10 Shows From Milan Fashion Week Spring 2023
Milan’s top designers were out in full force for a Spring 2023 season that felt especially tuned in to the history of fashion classics, while guiding this spirit confidently forward.
At Bottega Veneta, Matthieu Blazy blazed onward with a second collection that boldly broadened the success of his debut, while Dsquared2 served up a sophisticated yet fun surf-inspired collection that was relatively pared back by the brand’s standards.
Though they each continue to do excellent work with their own independent collections, Prada’s dream duo of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons seems only to be getting more creative, and for this season they put the house’s signature sense of intellectualism to work in peeling back the layers of feminine dressing.
An identical twin seems to be this season’s hottest accessory. Gucci had us seeing double with a collection that incorporated exotica and the highest heights of luxury as it explored the duality of identity.
Here are The Impression’s Top 10 fashion shows of Milan’s Spring 2023 season as selected by our Chief Impressionist, Kenneth Richard.
