Review of Louis Vuitton Capucines Fall 2023 Ad Campaign with Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott with model Zendaya
The inimitable and iconic Zendaya makes her debut as a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton in a new campaign for the house’s Capucines handbag. The campaign was shot by photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
A recent front row guest at the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall 2023 show in March, the young megastar was lensed against the backdrop of E-1027 – the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin house designed by pioneering modernist architect and designer Eileen Gray and situated along the riviera in southeastern France. Defined by the dreamy airs of the Cote d’Azur – to the deep blue of which Mert and Marcus lend a particularly powerful saturation – Zendaya poses in an idyllic sequence of strong, defined images, with a series of Capucines bags in tow.
Beloved for her acting chops in a wide range of works, Zendaya has also become something of a style icon in previous years, while maintaining a down-to-earth yet inspirational public profile. As such, any brand would count themselves lucky to have her embody their vision. Bright, slick, and striking, this campaign is a focused and powerful celebration of Zendaya’s new place among the Louis Vuitton fold.
