Tod’s continued its celebration of Italian art and craft with a special dinner to kick off its activations at the 60th Venice Biennale. Hosted by Diego Della Valle, President & CEO and Andrea Della Valle, Vice President of the Tod’s Group, the event highlighted the brand’s partnership with Italia Pavilion at La Biennale Arte and the unveiling of the special exhibition, “The Art of Craftsmanship – A Project by Venetian Masters”.
The dinner event took place in one of the most unique historical sites in Venice, Scuola Grande di San Rocco, most known for its collection of Tintoretto paintings.
Following an aperitivo in the main hall, guests were then ushered to the Salone Maggiore where they dined under the frescos of Tintoretto. Internationally known maestro, Andrea Bocelli, surprised the guests with a medley of songs from “Con Te Partirò” to “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Michelin Star chef Massimiliano Alajmo prepared a curated menu highlighting the flavors and ingredients unique to the Venetian region.
Notable international guests from the worlds of fashion, art, music, and film gathered including Adrien Brody, Hayley Atwell, Zhang Ziyi, Keita Machida, Nancy Zhang, Pia Wurtzback, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Larsen Thompson, and more others.
