Carolina Herrera to Stage Resort Runway Show in Mexico City
Carolina Herrera is set to showcase its resort runway show in Mexico City on Nov. 14, marking the luxury brand’s second destination show.
Last June, Herrera held its resort 2024 show in Rio de Janeiro, the company’s first runway presentation outside of New York City, which also celebrated the fragrance side of the business with an after party for the new Good Girl Blush Eau de Parfum.
Under the direction of Wes Gordon, Herrera’s creative director, the Mexico City show will be the first time the house presents a collection aligned with the in-store calendar. The show will take place at a location to be announced following the spring fashion show in New York Fashion Week in September.
In 2014, Carolina Herrera hosted a gala in Mexico City featuring a fashion show that showcased the Carolina Herrera New York spring collection and the spring CH line, a combination previously only seen in Singapore. The event, held at the former Claustro de Sor Juana convent, was an effort to promote Mexico City.
Recently, Wes Gordon brought the fall 2024 Carolina Herrera collection to the Seattle Art Museum for the museum’s Spring Into Art fundraiser, supported by the Seattle Art Museum Supporters and sponsored by Nordstrom.
