Danish fashion powerhouse Rotate has just opened its very first flagship store in the vibrant heart of Copenhagen, marking a significant milestone following the brand’s 5th anniversary celebration. Nestled at Kristen Bernikows Gade 6, this stylish haven stands as a testament to the brand’s journey, providing an immersive environment that embodies Rotate’s distinctive values and community spirit.
“We have had a strong sense of the world that our brand has existed in for so many years, that the opening of the store is an organic progression. We are thrilled to host our loyal community, and offer a space where they can feel at home, engaged and excited in our hometown of Copenhagen,” say Creative Directors Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars. Designed by the acclaimed Thibaut Allgayer, the store is a captivating blend of glamour and raw elegance, featuring thoughtful architectural elements like rotating counters, kaleidoscopic mirrors, and a plush oval-shaped room for a uniquely engaging shopping experience.
Reflecting the story of Rotate—a brand deeply rooted in heritage yet brimming with modernity—the store’s design seamlessly integrates with the historical facade of its building. From delicate textiles juxtaposed with sharp chrome fixtures to low-impact materials underscoring the brand’s commitment to sustainability, the store is a testament to Rotate’s innovative spirit. “The Rotate store answers the call for what the retail experience needs to be today; a spatial translation of the brand’s values and a destination for its community,” says interior architect Thibaut Allgayer. Visitors are invited into a world where feminine minimalism and bold design create a sensory, stylish journey.
