Joining From Dsquared2, Fontana Takes Over From Previous CEO Nicolas Girotto
Ennio Fontana has been confirmed as the new CEO of Swiss luxury brand Bally. Fontana, who previously held executive roles at Dsquared2, Cavalli, and Philipp Plein, succeeds Nicolas Girotto, who joined Bally in 2015. Girotto announced his departure at the end of September to pursue new professional opportunities.
Bally, a brand known for its footwear, leather goods, and ready-to-wear collections, was founded in 1851. Since 2022, Simone Bellotti has served as its creative director. In August, Bally was acquired by the Californian investment firm Regent LP, which also owns brands such as Club Monaco, Escada, and La Senza. The previous owner of Bally, Jab Holding, is a company belonging to Germany’s billionaire Reimann family. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
