Balenciaga has launched its Basketball Series, marking a further expansion into sportswear for the house. The series is introduced as a comprehensive basketball-inspired apparel line, paving the way for the debut of their Basketball Sneaker scheduled for later this year.
The forthcoming collection is an innovative reinterpretation of traditional basketball gear, viewed through Balenciaga’s unique stylistic approach. It features a range of garments including a leather varsity jacket, a tracksuit made from techno poplin, and jacquard-knit tank tops and shorts designed for utmost comfort. The line is completed with vintage jersey t-shirts, drill cotton caps, and a selection of fleece hoodies, sweatpants, and shorts, all available in various colors and styles.
This series incorporates the brand’s Loop Sports Icon logo and various basketball motifs, applied using unconventional materials that stand out in the sportswear market.
