Barbour reopened its Georgetown store in Washington, D.C., relocating to a new two-story space at 1214 Wisconsin Ave NW. The move, situated near its previous location, marked an update to the brand’s retail concept as part of its ongoing international expansion strategy.

The new store was designed to reflect Barbour’s lifestyle positioning, incorporating elements that reference its British heritage alongside contemporary retail features. The space introduced dedicated areas focused on product storytelling, highlighting the craftsmanship and design behind core categories such as waxed outerwear and tartan garments.

A personalization station was integrated into the store, allowing customers to customize items, alongside a re-wax service as part of the brand’s “Wax for Life” initiative. The service enables customers to restore worn garments, reinforcing Barbour’s emphasis on product longevity and repair.

The store also featured installations and displays that contextualize the brand’s history, including visual timelines and reinterpretations of its proprietary tartan patterns. Seasonal collections were presented alongside core products, aligning heritage designs with current consumer demand for classic outerwear and countryside-inspired aesthetics.
