Photographed by Marie Deteneuille in Hydra, Greece, the anniversary campaign brings together longtime muses and a new generation of creative women

A decade in fashion can be measured in collections, campaigns, and the women who make a brand feel like more than its clothes. For SIR., the Australian label marks ten years with its Resort campaign, photographed by Marie Deteneuille in Hydra, Greece, and starring Tish Weinstock, Ylang Messingual, Malgosia Bela, Maya Stepper, and Tahnee Atkinson. Bringing together original muses and longtime collaborators alongside a new generation of creatives, founders, artists, and cultural voices, the campaign reflects on the women who have shaped the brand while looking toward those who may define its next chapter.

Visually, the campaign takes a refreshingly straightforward approach. Sunlit interiors, weathered stone, wooden furniture, and the clear blue of a swimming pool provide the backdrop, while the women move between relaxed portraits, swimwear, tailored separates, and printed dresses. Deteneuille’s images have the warmth and grain of personal photographs, lending the polished styling a sense of intimacy. There is little visual theatrics or elaborate staging; the clothes, the setting, and the women wearing them remain the focus.

The result feels closer to a classic lookbook than a fully developed campaign narrative, and that simplicity is not necessarily a shortcoming. Resort collections are, after all, designed to inspire a particular kind of dressing, and the photographs make it easy to appreciate the silhouettes, prints, and versatility of the pieces. A floral dress against dark timber, a relaxed striped ensemble posed across a dining table, and tailored cream suiting worn over a bikini each communicate a different facet of the collection without requiring a complicated storyline. The images give the clothes room to speak, which is sometimes the most useful service a campaign can provide.

Where the campaign becomes more compelling is in the suggestion of connection between its subjects. The group portrait in the pool, with the women loosely intertwined in the water, introduces a sense of camaraderie that distinguishes the imagery from a conventional series of individual model shots. The mood is unforced, suggesting shared time rather than a carefully choreographed idea of female friendship. That quality supports the anniversary’s broader premise: a brand’s identity is built not only through design, but also through the people who wear it, return to it, and help shape its cultural presence.

Still, the campaign’s simplicity leaves some of its more ambitious ideas largely in the background. SIR. positions the anniversary as a meeting point between women who helped establish its identity and those influencing what comes next, yet the photographs do not always make that distinction particularly legible. The campaign communicates an appealing atmosphere more clearly than it articulates the individual perspectives of its cast. A stronger sense of each woman’s personality, or a more deliberate visual thread connecting the brand’s past with its future, could have given the anniversary greater narrative weight without sacrificing the relaxed aesthetic.

That restraint, however, has its own appeal. In a fashion landscape where campaigns often arrive with elaborate concepts and increasingly cinematic ambitions, SIR. opts for a quieter presentation that keeps attention on the product while allowing glimpses of the relationships behind the brand. The imagery does not attempt to make a decade feel monumental; instead, it suggests that longevity can be built through consistency, community, and an understanding of the women a label wants to dress.

For its tenth anniversary, SIR. keeps the production understated and the clothes in focus, with friendship providing the campaign’s most persuasive finishing touch. Sometimes the strongest statement is not a grand gesture, but a good dress, a familiar face, and room for everyone to get in the picture.
