The Fall 2026 collection introduces an architectural bag family that draws on the house’s German heritage and explores the relationship between structure, volume and form
Jil Sander has introduced Kante, a new bag family designed by creative director Simone Bellotti as part of the house’s Fall 2026 collection. Named after the German word for “edge” or “corner,” the bags reflect the brand’s German roots and its approach to architectural design, balancing precise lines with sculptural forms.
The Kante family builds on the house’s established design codes, using pointed edges and pronounced volume to define its silhouettes. The shapes draw inspiration from Richard Prince’s Car Hoods series, revisiting a reference explored during Jil Sander’s Spring 2026 show. The collection extends Bellotti’s examination of the house as a space shaped by contrasts, including restraint and abandon, straight lines and curves.

Kante is available in three styles: Flap, Shoulder and Tote. The Flap features a structured silhouette with sharp lines and comes in calfskin with a semi-shiny patent finish or soft airbrushed suede. The Shoulder model uses slim handles and architectural proportions, crafted in shiny lambskin, while the unisex Tote offers a more spacious design with sculptural three-dimensional edges in the same lambskin construction.
The new bags are available at Jil Sander stores and through the brand’s website. The launch places accessories within Bellotti’s broader interpretation of the house, using material, proportion and form to connect its German design heritage with a contemporary luxury offering.
