Delphine and Alexandre Arnault at Donald Trump Inauguration

Bernard Arnault & Family Attends Trump’s Inauguration

CEO of LVMH Joins Businesses Leaders at Trump’s Swearing-In

Bernard Arnault, founder, chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessey Louis Vuitton, attended the oath-taking ceremony of the 47th U.S. president, Donald Trump, at the U.S. Capitol’s Rotunda. He was accompanied by his wife Helene, daughter Delphine and son Alexandre. The family attended the historic event, which took place a day before Pharrell Williams’s upcoming Louis Vuitton menswear runway show, and sat just behind former presidents and their wives, including Bill Clinton, George Bush, and Barack Obama.

The business family took their seats amongst other business leaders including Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Tim Cook of Apple, and Elon Musk. Politicians in the crowd, like the Clintons and Obama, wore colors symbolic of their respective political parties, while others like Bush crossed party lines by wearing a blue suit. The Arnaults opted for neutral colored attire to maintain neutrality.

In terms of fashion, Melania Trump’s choice of a Dior coat for a private reception and fireworks display at the Trump National Golf Club and a black Dior cape-style coat for a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery must have been pleasing to Delphine Arnault, who is the chairman and CEO of Dior, a member of LVMH’s board of directors and executive committee, and the driving force behind the LVMH Prize for Young Designers. Delphine Arnault was recently honored with the title of Knight of the Légion d’Honneur.

The younger Arnault, Alexandre, who serves as the executive vice president of product, communication, and industrial at Tiffany & Co., had previously gained attention for attending a pro-Trump rally. Although he had also attended events for Joe Biden and fundraisers for then-Vice President Kamala Harris, his appearance at the rally was noteworthy. Kamala Harris, during her campaign against Trump, was often seen wearing Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Alexandre was also present when his father traveled to New York in 2017 to meet Trump in Trump Tower before his first administration. Two years later, the French luxury mogul invited Trump to tour LVMH’s leather goods workshop in rural Alvarado, Texas, to show off his administration’s job-creation record.

It seems European luxury houses are keen on dressing FLOTUS for special occasions, as stated by her stylist Herve Pierre. It was noted that patrons frequently contact the brand to inquire about purchasing the same look after she wears a designer item.
