Chanel roars across the riviera in a new campaign that highlights the eyewear of its Resort 2023 collection.

Creative director Virginie Viard’s Cruise collection referenced the house’s historical connections to Monaco, while incorporating the associations of cosmopolitan elegance and power that arise from Monte Carlo’s famous casino and speedway, as well as paying tribute to the design work of late creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

The campaign imagery balances this high-speed sense of power with an ideal of total relaxation. The imagery follows the super cool girl gang of Blésnya Minher, Mariam de Vinzelle, HyunJi Shin, and Vivienne Rohner as they take in all the French Riviera has to offer, from relaxing at the pool to cruising on a speedboat, where the campaign’s star eyewear pieces come in handy.

Taking a signature Chanel aesthetic in exciting new directions, the campaign offers a high-octane look at summertime elegance.
