Spring 2025 Ad Campaign

Review of Courrèges Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Nicolas Di Felice and Photographer Mark Borthwick with Models Angelina Kendall, Ibra Niakate, Jeanne Cadieu, Leon Dame, and Sara Caballero

Courrèges continues to draw on the power of artful minimalism with its Spring 2025. The campaign sees the brand’s creative director Nicolas Di Felice reunite with photographer Mark Borthwick.

Picking up right where they left off with their campaign from last season, the creative team explores an intersection of monumentalism and minimalism. In compositions dominated by white space, characters stand confidently clad in the brand’s latest evolution of its spare, retrofuturist vision. Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, the same model poses in a rectangular window to the sky à la James Turrell.

It’s impressive that Courrèges has been able to bring fresh ideas and compositions to such a minimal and consistent visual approach across its last few seasonal campaigns. While it’s possible that a casual reader might not be struck by the precise power of the imagery when flicking through a magazine, a discerning fan of the brand will recognize the compositions as another strong extension of the mastery of form and spatial purity that has characterized the Nicolas Di Felice era of the brand.
