Creative Legends Coppola and McDean Unite for Chanel’s Latest Campaign

Gracie Abrams Named Face of CHANEL’s Spring-Summer 2025 Pre-Collection Campaign

Gracie Abrams, the rising singer-songwriter and red carpet regular, has been revealed as the face of Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2025 pre-collection campaign. The American artist, known for her appearances at the Grammy Awards and the Met Gala wearing Chanel, has also been named an official house ambassador.

The campaign, directed by Sofia Coppola and photographed by Craig McDean, explores a contemporary interpretation of Chanel’s iconic style. Incorporating photography, film, and music, the visuals blend Chanel’s classic elements with Abrams’ modern sensibility.

The collection channels a relaxed yet refined aesthetic, featuring tweed jackets styled with jeans and Bermuda shorts paired with baseball caps for a nod to the 1990s. Denim receives a fresh update with chain jewelry details, while leather pieces feature an embossed quilted texture inspired by Chanel’s signature diamond pattern. Accessories such as oversized totes and modern takes on the little black dress round out the offering.

Themes of Chanel’s legacy are woven throughout, with pearls prominently displayed on jackets, denim, and knitwear, as well as adorning accessories like sautoir necklaces, rings, and handbags. Lightweight tweeds and pastel hues, alongside classic black and white, set the tone for a collection that balances timeless elegance with contemporary edge.

Iconic Chanel motifs, including the 11.12 bag in tweed, camellias, and two-tone shoes, are reimagined for the season. Accessories, from pearl-adorned sandals to mini quilted bags and sunglasses, emphasize the house’s focus on detailed craftsmanship.

The Spring-Summer 2025 pre-collection, a continuation of Chanel’s storied tradition, will debut in stores worldwide starting mid-January 2025.
