Del Core draws power from the lure of the sea with its new campaign for Spring 2023. The campaign features art direction by David Lane and photography by Charlotte Wales.
Responding to the collection’s character of fluidity and power, the imagery makes lush and surreal use of digital editing to locate its protagonists in a fantastical underwater seascape. While they don’t have fishtails, these characters exude a mermaid-esque energy as their hair swirls about them, and they exist effortlessly underwater. Or perhaps these are sirens, preparing to lure sailors to their doom with the seductive power of the unearthly beauty in their song.
Del Core is one of the few brands in fashion whose campaigns still totally embrace the fantastical, guiding us each time through otherworldly realms that psychedelically expand the motifs of creative director Daniel Del Core’s stunning and imaginative collections out into immersive narrative landscapes. This campaign is another great example of the practice, and it has us falling head over heels into the sea.
