Dior Unveils Landmark Boutique in Geneva

A Fusion of Art and Architecture on Rue du Rhône

Dior celebrates its deep connection with Switzerland and the arts with the opening of its distinctive new boutique in Geneva, situated on the prestigious Rue du Rhône. This exceptional space, designed by the acclaimed architect Christian de Portzamparc, the first French recipient of the Pritzker Prize, showcases a façade of elegant, sweeping curves reminiscent of the brand’s Seoul flagship, symbolizing a dedication to excellence in savoir-faire.

Crafted by Dior, the boutique’s ultra-modern design draws inspiration from the iconic 30 Montaigne, offering a refined and luminous ambiance. A continuous wall adorned with white canvases stretches across the building’s floors, mirroring the genesis of Dior’s haute couture collections and encapsulating the essence of couture’s sacred nature.

Within this airy yet intimate setting, visitors can explore artisanally crafted furniture pieces in ivory, gold, and natural wood tones, made by artisans such as Stefan Leo Atelier and Hamrei. The boutique not only invites guests to rediscover Dior’s heritage and design principles but also serves as a gallery, featuring artworks by notable artists like Pamela Rosenkranz and Ugo Rondinone, alongside archival sketches and photographs that celebrate Dior’s storied past as a gallery owner and collector.

Spanning six floors, the boutique offers an array of Dior’s latest creations for the Spring-Summer 2024 season, including ready-to-wear pieces by Maria Grazia Chiuri, menswear by Kim Jones, and exquisite jewelry designs by Victoire de Castellane.
