British House Delivers Made-To-Measure Wardrobes For Leading Actors
Dunhill has revealed its role in shaping the looks for “Black Bag,” an upcoming espionage thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh. The film’s lineup includes Michael Fassbender, Tom Burke, Regé-Jean Page, and Pierce Brosnan, with Fassbender portraying George Woodhouse, an intelligence operative torn between duty and personal loyalty to his wife, Kathryn (Cate Blanchett).
Working alongside costume designer Ellen Mirojnick, known for her projects from “Oppenheimer” to “Fatal Attraction,” Dunhill’s Creative Director Simon Holloway created a lineup of tailored pieces meant to reflect the plot’s tension, control, and precision. The film’s styling, described as “sophisticated, effortlessly authoritative, and intense,” highlights the house’s tailoring expertise, with its Made-to-Measure service delivering a range of impeccably crafted jackets, knitwear, shirts, trousers, and accessories like hand-printed silk ties and pocket squares.
“Black Bag” further cements dunhill’s historical ties to cinema, extending a longstanding legacy of dressing compelling characters on screen. This collaboration will be the first in a series of forthcoming film projects for the British label, as it continues to blend heritage design with Hollywood flair.
“Black Bag” is set for UK and international release starting March 14, and features a cast led by Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Marisa Abela, Tom Burke, Naomie Harris, Regé-Jean Page, and Pierce Brosnan. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, with a script by David Koepp, the film is produced by Casey Silver and Greg Jacobs.
