Gucci to Celebrate Korean Art and Culture with Month-Long Activation

Starting October 15 in Seoul, the Extended Event Features Four Renowned Talents

Gucci is launching the “Gucci Cultural Month” project to showcase the work of individuals who have elevated Korean arts globally. The event, starting on Oct. 15 in Seoul, will feature four renowned talents: conceptual artist Kimsooja, filmmaker Chan Wook Park, contemporary dancer Eun Me Ahn, and pianist Seong Jin Cho.

Kimsooja, known for her diverse artistic forms, has been recognized in international museums and biennials for her work. Park, a prominent filmmaker, has received accolades for movies like “Oldboy” and “The Handmaiden.” Ahn, a contemporary dancer, has created over 100 avant-garde works and directed dance festivals in South Korea. Cho, an internationally acclaimed pianist, rose to fame after winning the Chopin International Competition in 2015.

Gucci’s cultural initiative builds on its presence in South Korea, which has included a major resort fashion show and the opening of the Gucci Osteria restaurant.
