AMI hosted two exclusive events to celebrate its connection to the art world in Miami.
AMI celebrated the opening of the Family traveling exhibition, during Miami Art Basel. The French brand marked the occasion with an event at the Innovation Gallery, before carrying on with an exclusive dinner at Swan.
Family is open to the public from December 1st to 3rd at the Innovation Gallery.
AMI and Magnum Photos have joined forces to create the Family photographic project, also available in a book published by Flammarion: thirteen international members of the renowned agency, along with two guest video artists, were commissioned to interpret the theme of family. Yesterday’s inauguration marked the second leg of a 3-city international tour. Following its initial launch in Paris, and after Miami, the exhibition will travel to Shanghai next year.
Following the opening of the Family exhibition at the Innovation Gallery, the celebrations moved to Swan, where AMI’s Founder and Creative Director Alexandre Mattiussi and Derek Blasberg co-hosted an exclusive dinner. To the guests’ enjoyment, singer and songwriter Moses Sumney provided the musical performance of the evening.
Guests at the opening of the Family exhibition at Miami’s Innovation Gallery and the intimate dinner that followed at Swan, were an eclectic mix of journalists, editors, personalities of the art world, together with friends of AMI’s: among them were Matt Smith, Karlie Kloss, Lucas Bravo, Justice Smith , Isaac Powell, Charlie Carver, Barry Keoghan, Lukas Gage , Hunter Doohan
Following the expansion of the brand in the US market, AMI will open its first ever flagship in the city of Miami a few weeks from now. The Parisian house’s latest store will be located in the heart of the Design District, right in front of last night’s dinner location, Swan.
