Star-Studded Event Aims to Raise Funds for Gender-Based Violence Organizations
The Kering Foundation will bring its Caring for Women dinner back to New York Fashion Week for the third consecutive year. Scheduled for September 9, the dinner will take place at The Pool in the Seagram Building.
Since its inception in 2022, the annual event has attracted high-profile attendees to support organizations addressing gender-based violence. This year, funds raised will benefit Girl Effect, It’s On Us, and the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
The 200-person event will be co-hosted by Salma Hayek Pinault, François-Henri Pinault, Camila Alves McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey, Carmelo Anthony, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Urs Fischer, Kim Kardashian, Donatella Versace, Naomi Watts, and Billy Crudup. Kering’s brands, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Alexander McQueen, will contribute items and experiences for a live auction. Last year’s auction raised over $3 million.
For women and children to be free to fulfill their potential unencumbered by the burdens of fear, threat, and trauma, it is paramount that we address violence at its roots to change behavior and heal our collective culture
François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering and chairman of the Kering Foundation
The event will also feature a live performance, with details to be announced later. Last year’s dinner included performances by Florence Welch and was attended by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Isabelle Huppert, Nicole Kidman, Lauren Sanchez, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Olivia Wilde, Channing Tatum, and Zoë Kravitz.
