Kith Teams with Marvel for X-Men Capsule

Following up the brand’s appearance at San Diego Comic Con, Kith has collaborated with Marvel on a special X-Men capsule, including a line of apparel, accessories, collectibles, and Kith for Asics sneakers.

For the clothing, Kith reinterpreted archival X-Men illustrations, graphics, and logos to create elevated apparel styles, as well as accessories and collectibles. The apparel range features tapestry coaches jackets, wool varsity jackets, satin bombers, as well as intarsia knitwear and vintage tees. Accessories styles include headwear, skate decks, keychains, and pin sets.

The footwear lineup forms an extension of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with Asics, reimagining the Gel-Lyte III sneaker in seven colorways, each corresponding to an X-Men character: Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Cyclops, and two iterations of Wolverine.

Alongside the clothing and accessories is a series of collectibles that extend the collaborative scope. Kith teamed with Marvel to create an exclusive comic book featuring Kith creatives alongside the X-Men, which was initially launched at Comic Con. The brand teamed with Upper Deck to recreate original renditions of the Uncanny X-Men trading cards from 1992, which come sealed inside the footwear box, as well as teaming with PSA, a leading authority in authenticity and grading, to certify the rarity of the cards’ special parallels. Kith and Marvel worked with luxury home brand Modernica to craft two custom versions of the Fiberglass Shell Chair. Both chairs feature wraparound archival X-Men artwork, with one using a vintage comic panel design and the other an illustrated battle against Magneto. Finally, Kith and Marvel also created a completely custom retro arcade game with Arcade1Up. The custom cabinet runs eight classic arcade games featuring the X-Men, including the iconic Marvel vs. Capcom.

The collection debuted with an exclusive early release at Comic Con from July 18-23, and is now available at all Kith stores and on the brand’s website.
