Manley Joins After Serving as Chief Brand Officer at Burberry
Rod Manley has been appointed as the new international chief brand officer at Moncler. Manley, transitioning from his previous role as chief brand officer at Burberry, took up his new position effective today, January 20.
Manley will be reporting to Gino Fisanotti, the chief brand officer at Moncler. He will be based in Paris and is expected to travel extensively for his role. His move was confirmed by the executive himself in a discussion with FashionNetwork.com.
During his tenure at Burberry, which concluded in autumn 2024, Manley collaborated with designers Riccardo Tisci and Daniel Lee.
Prior to his engagement at Burberry, Manley served as the executive vice president of influence marketing and communications at Calvin Klein for more than three years, having joined in December 2018. His career at Calvin Klein followed a nearly decade-long tenure at Giorgio Armani, starting in Milan before relocating to New York to oversee press activities in the United States.
The British-born Manley began his illustrious career at KCD, a well-known New York fashion public relations firm and a notable training ground for many fashion executives.
His appointment at Moncler comes during a challenging period for the brand, as it faces a global downturn in fashion and luxury spending. Financial analysts anticipate that Moncler, an Italian-owned but originally French brand, will report flat growth for the latest fourth quarter.
