Review of Tod’s X 8 Moncler Palm Angels Winter 2022 Ad Campaign by Photographer Quil Lemons with model Naomi Campbell
In a match made in Italian style heaven, Tod’s, Palm Angels, and Moncler have come together for a collaborative capsule that combines their distinct aesthetics into an eclectic yet surprisingly cohesive capsule. The collection is celebrated with a new campaign by photographer Quil Lemons.
While the Italian Riviera might not be the place you expect to see one of Moncler’s signature puffer jackets, filtering the look through the perspectives of Tod’s craftsmanship know-how and Palm Angels’ hot hot street style makes it work – especially when worn by Naomi Campbell. Further pushing the international spirit of the collection, which references American pop culture and hot-rod iconography, Lemons’ portraits of the model situate her in a coastal dreamscape that recalls 90s Miami.
A meeting between Moncler’s expansive and collaborative Genius project and Tod’s-FACTORY – the brand’s playground for collaborations with emerging designers – the collaboration feels like a celebration and exploration of contemporary fashion’s love of collaboration and multicultural intersection. Capturing this spirit through a stylish lens of sunny and laid-back fun, the campaign does a great job in conveying the unexpected magic that can happen when brands unleash their imagination and put their heads together.
