"Children of the Sky" Spring 2025 Ad Campaign

Review of Zomer “Children of the Sky” Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Art Director Lina Kutsovkaya of BeG00d Studios with Photographer Viviane Sassen and models Lauryn Alfreda and Aliai Kawac Makuei

Zomer‘s Spring 2025 campaign, titled Children of the Sky, unfolds as a vibrant and otherworldly journey through the Kenyan coast. Captured through the distinctive lens of Viviane Sassen, the campaign is a poetic fusion of fashion, movement, and environment. It stars models Lauryn Alfreda and Aliai Kawac Makuei and features styling by Imruh Asha, with art direction from Lina Kutsovkaya of BeG00d Studios.

The imagery is deeply atmospheric, immersing viewers in vast seascapes, sun-bleached beaches, and surreal jungle shadows. From the playful exuberance of young acrobats forming human pyramids to dreamlike compositions of bodies wrapped in sculptural florals and glossy fabrics, each frame is saturated with joy, mystery, and chromatic intensity. There’s a strong emphasis on silhouette and gesture, with poses that feel both spontaneous and mythic. The palette is a vivid mix of fiery reds, tropical yellows, sea greens, and night-sky blues—colors that echo across both the garments and the landscapes themselves.

The campaign feels like a celebration of collective spirit and childlike wonder, grounded in Zomer’s hallmark use of exaggerated proportions and painterly prints. The clothes are light, expressive, and full of movement, ranging from voluminous skirts and flowing pants to cocoon-like dresses that shimmer under Sassen’s lens. There’s an emphasis on kinship, creativity, and the freedom of outdoor play—fashion as a means of storytelling rather than status.

Zomer continues to carve out a unique identity in the fashion landscape with campaigns that prioritize artistic vision over trendiness. Children of the Sky succeeds not just as a presentation of clothing, but as a meditative and uplifting visual experience. It’s a reminder that high fashion can feel imaginative, grounded, and deeply human all at once.
