Copenhagen Fashion Week Appoints Isabella Rose as COO

The Former Director of Communications and Digital Has Been Instrumental in the Event’s Global Growth

Isabella Rose had a critical role as the director of communications and digital in establishing Copenhagen Fashion Week’s status as the fifth major global fashion capital. Now, she has been appointed as the event’s chief operating officer.

Cecilie Thorsmark, chief executive officer of Copenhagen Fashion Week, honoured Rose’s contributions to the event’s upward trajectory in recent years. Thorsmark stated, “Copenhagen Fashion Week’s successful trajectory over the last years would not have been possible without a super committed and hard-working team, and Isabella has played an absolutely invaluable role in this.” The CEO added, “Isabella’s dedication, leadership and strategic thinking has already made a big impact on our organization and I have no doubt that with her in this new role, we can continue driving our organization forward and to new levels of success.”

In her newly assumed role, Rose will take on a more comprehensive position supervising all departments at Copenhagen Fashion Week, as well as shaping the organization’s long-term strategy.

Rose’s professional trajectory has largely revolved around collaborating with up-and-coming designers, including her beginnings as a studio manager for Fashion East award winner Claire Barrow, to managing communications and sales for the British Fashion Council’s Newgen brands. She has been pivotal in promoting Copenhagen Fashion Week to new markets and media outlets, backing designers from the region including Kristofer Kongshaug of Forza Collective, eyewear designer Vincent Catani, Cecilie Bahnsen, and many more.

Rose acknowledged Thorsmark for her faith in her capabilities and consistent inspiration, stating that she believed in her from “the start [and] continually inspiring me to reach to new heights.”

The upcoming season of Copenhagen Fashion Week is scheduled for August 5-9, and will feature a varied mix of formats, encompassing runway shows, presentations, and public live talks.
