The MARNI × G-SHOCK Model Brings Together Durability and Design Innovation
In a collaboration that fuses technical innovation with bold design, Marni and G-SHOCK introduce the new MARNI × G-SHOCK watch, symbolizing durability and precision. The model, the GMD-S5610MA-7ER, combines G-SHOCK’s 40-year legacy of resilient timepieces with Marni’s unique design approach, resulting in a watch that reflects both brands’ heritage while advancing their design aesthetics.
The watch’s case, bezel, and strap feature the Marni logo in a graphic, repetitive motif, continuing onto the packaging in a hand-painted pattern of black, white, and red. The collaboration underscores Marni’s commitment to creativity while maintaining the functional craftsmanship that defines G-SHOCK’s products.
Constructed from bio-based resin to lower its environmental footprint, the watch offers a robust design with dimensions of 45.7 x 40.5 x 11.9 mm, shock resistance, and water resistance up to 200 meters. It features a protective mineral glass, a battery with a three-year lifespan, and a streetwear-inspired aesthetic aimed at everyday durability.
The GMD-S5610MA-7ER also includes practical functions like a high-performance stopwatch, multi-function alarm, countdown timer with a flash alert, and an hourly time signal. The Super Illuminator LED backlight ensures visibility in low-light environments.
Available worldwide on Marni’s website and in select boutiques starting November 6, 2024, the MARNI × G-SHOCK watch will be available for pre-order on marni.com beginning October 31.
