Limited-Edition Capsule and Immersive Pop-Up Bring Art, Fashion, and Whimsy to 57th and Broadway
Nordstrom is putting joy front and center—literally—this September with an immersive new pop-up in collaboration with Marc Jacobs. Located at The Corner at Nordstrom NYC (that’s 57th and Broadway for those in the know), the JOY-themed installation blends fashion, art, and sensory play in a bold capsule collection and brand takeover running through October 5.
“Marc Jacobs at The Corner” is more than a pop-up; it’s a celebration. Shoppers can expect an experiential environment layered with Marc Jacobs’ signature irreverence and creative flair, amplified by collaborations with artists David Shrigley, Derrick Adams, and Hattie Stewart. Each brings their own visual vernacular to the JOY collection, which spans ready-to-wear, handbags, accessories, and unexpected delights—from SHUT skateboards and Crayola collabs to Moleskine notebooks, Converse kicks, Gibson guitars, and even maxbone pet gear.
“This month, The Corner at Nordstrom NYC becomes a playground for JOY with Marc Jacobs. In collaboration with three talented artists, we’re bringing to life a world where art and fashion celebrate individuality,” said Olivia Kim, SVP of Creative at Nordstrom. “We’re creating an immersive, colorful space where our customers can discover, play, explore and celebrate JOY.”
In addition to the capsule, the space will house a broad assortment of Marc Jacobs staples: think signature bags, shoes, fragrance, charms, eyewear, and beyond. The takeover continues online at Nordstrom.com for anyone not making it to Midtown.
True to form, Nordstrom has layered in playful community programming. Shoppers can enjoy a Marc Jacobs smoothie from the EBAR, receive complimentary nail art, score limited-edition gifts with purchase, and—yes—commission a free pet portrait, proving once again that joy is best when shared.
The Corner’s ever-changing lineup of brand takeovers continues to serve up fresh, high-impact moments, but this one may just be its most colorful yet.
