The seaside space showcases ready-to-wear, accessories, and fine jewelry in a setting inspired by Santa Barbara
On November 25, 2025, Chanel will open a seasonal boutique in Montecito, California. Situated at Rosewood Miramar Beach, the new space brings the house to one of the world’s most exclusive coastal destinations. Set directly on the oceanfront, the 1,361-square-foot boutique allows guests to explore pieces from the Cruise 2025/26 collection in a setting designed to mirror the ease and elegance of its surroundings. Dedicated areas for ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, and watches and fine jewelry create a fluid experience, while an outdoor garden offers a quiet place to pause along the visit.
The boutique draws inspiration from Santa Barbara’s natural landscape, interpreted through Chanel’s visual language. Filled with sunlight, the space embraces a palette of black, white, and beige, echoing Mademoiselle Chanel’s enduring codes while integrating the relaxed atmosphere of California’s coastline. The interior takes cues from the region’s scenery, using dark wood shelving against soft-toned walls and patterned carpets that add warmth throughout the space. Tweed seating appears in muted colours, introducing texture in a nod to one of the house’s signatures. The single-level layout brings all categories together, creating a cohesive environment shaped by both refinement and ease.
Guests enter a central salon where ready-to-wear is arranged along the back wall, framed by accessories and handbags displayed throughout. A dedicated shoe salon sits in an adjoining room, while watches and fine jewelry occupy a distinct area on the opposite side. Two private fitting rooms complete the space, allowing for a more personal and intimate shopping experience.
The boutique will showcase the Chanel Cruise 2025/26 collection, first presented at Villa d’Este on Lake Como. The collection channels the glamour of the legendary setting, interpreted through sparkling silhouettes, refined knits, and gold-textured tailoring intended to capture the charm of lakeside leisure while aligning naturally with the spirit of the California coast. Watches and fine jewelry highlights will include Coco Crush, N°5, Camélia, Première, and the J12 lineup, with a focus on the new Première Galon. Pieces from the Ruban, Comète, and Boy·Friend collections invite clients to explore the house’s distinctive signatures through layering and styling. The boutique will remain open throughout the season, offering visitors a relaxed yet elevated entry into the world of Chanel at the edge of the Pacific.
