While the likes of Dior and Dries Van Noten kept expectations high with collections that doubled down on clothing celebrating individuality, emerging talent who were relatively new to the city put on the most compelling shows. Shaking up the traditional format with expansive movie-style productions that amplified the universality of heritage to how the authority of a ‘Made In…’ label can be reframed for a new generation.
