Balenciaga | Miami Design District

Balenciaga opened its 12th U.S. flagship in Miami’s Design District this week. Spearheaded by Creative Director Demna Gvasalia, the 1,590-square-foot store has an industrial-luxe design scheme, with functional solar panels and luminous BALENCIAGA lettering incorporated into its facade.

The store’s two-storied interior is modeled after the brand’s Paris flagship, with industrial yet luxurious design elements throughout. The first floor features an exposed ceiling, while delicate pink carpeting is the focal point of the second floor. Several elements of a state-of-the-art clothing factory are integrated into the plan, which presents product to customers in a direct and uncomplicated way.

Balenciaga is the latest in a wave of labels to put down roots in the Design District, joining houses like Dior, Saint Laurent, Bulgari, Prada, Gucci, Tom Ford, and Valentino.
