Loewe Opens New Vancouver Store at Oakridge

The new location combines fashion, design and art within one of Vancouver’s leading retail destinations

Loewe has opened a new store at Oakridge in Vancouver, expanding its presence in Canada with a retail concept that brings together fashion, design and contemporary art. Opened in May 2026, the store carries women’s ready-to-wear, bags, small leather goods, shoes, hats, belts and eyewear.

Located within the Oakridge development, the store reflects Loewe’s distinctive approach to materiality and craftsmanship. A green façade leads into a vivid blue interior defined by handmade ceramic tiles in green, blue, white and silver tones. Green marble surfaces, brass detailing and bespoke wool rugs based on original tapestries by British textile artist John Allen further shape the environment. Furnishings include Nakashima chairs in American black walnut, an Axel Vervoordt table, a Steltman chair by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld and Akari light sculptures by Isamu Noguchi, alongside marble podiums, Spanish antique ceramic vessels and a Loewe leather Puffer bench.

Art occupies a central role throughout the space, with works drawn from the Loewe collection alongside specially commissioned pieces. Highlights include Altoon Sultan’s Two Arches (2023), ceramic works by Hylton Nel, Ken Price and John Ward, and walnut wall installations by Julian Watts commissioned in 2024. A chromogenic print by Sarah Lucas, Got a Salmon On (1997), adds a contemporary counterpoint to the broader presentation.

The opening reflects Loewe’s continued investment in experiential retail, where product, architecture and cultural programming are presented as interconnected elements. By integrating contemporary art, collectible design and artisanal craftsmanship into the store environment, the brand reinforces its positioning at the intersection of luxury fashion and cultural engagement.
