Best Fashion Denim Ad Campaigns of Fall 2020

The Best Fashion Denim Ad Campaigns of the Fall 2020 Season as chosen by Kenneth Richard

Though well into its second century of existence, denim hasn’t really changed much. The fashion industry is largely characterized by continual change in response to technological progress and cultural developments, yet America’s most iconic contribution to fashion remains largely the same – and we think that’s a good thing. Why mess with a perfect material?

When it comes to marketing campaigns, however, this ideal stasis can present an interesting challenge. Especially in the age of digital content when attention spans are short and popularity thrives on newness, it can be hard to make a material that has existed for 150 years seem new and exciting, even if it has always been exciting. Thus, fashion houses and creative directors have an exciting opportunity to explore and get creative. Our favorite denim campaigns of Fall 2020 found unique ways to celebrate the legacy and style of the inimitable jean.

CK One celebrated the legacy of an American icon and looked forward to the next generation of Americans with their sincere, nationwide “One Forever” campaign. Always original, Diesel went in a heavily conceptual direction with an interactive campaign playfully embracing the canceled plans of summer 2020, complete with customizable jeans. Versace kept things simple with an artful exploration of the beauty of blue.

Here are The Impression’s Best Fashion Denim Ad Campaigns of Fall 2020 as selected by Chief Impressionist Kenneth Richard.
