The Best Men’s Fashion Ad Campaigns of 2023

2023 was a big year for menswear on the runway, and this sense of scale made its way into several of the best men’s fashion campaigns of the year as well. At the same time, however, a theme of intimacy can be detected as well, reflecting the ongoing interrogation of masculine archetypes happening in fashion and culture at large.

Loewe impressively landed three campaigns in the Top 10 thanks to Jonathan Anderson and company’s consistently evocative and elusive blurring of the boundaries between art and life or subject and object.

Amiri explored what it means to be an icon of culture through a fall campaign that

featured iconic rap duo Black Star, portraying the pioneers of conscious hip hop as style trailblazers to look up to. Meanwhile, its spring campaign cleverly repurposed the aesthetic assets of its runway show for a confidently revitalized statement of the brand’s identity.

Paul Smith and Dunhill served up men’s campaigns that didn’t offer any new perspectives in the way of masculine archetypes – but still had plenty of visual intrigue – instead portraying classic dress codes of menswear with an exacting, elegant, and imaginative perspective so as to show us why these categories are timeless.
