Carlos Alcaraz and Louis Vuitton's Bespoke Malle Vestiaire

Louis Vuitton Collaborates with Carlos Alcaraz for Bespoke Design

Louis Vuitton collaborates with US Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz for a bespoke trunk housing tennis memorabilia

Louis Vuitton, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, joins forces with House Ambassador Carlos Alcaraz, the US Open 2022 and Wimbledon 2023 champion. Together, they unveil a bespoke Malle Vestiaire designed to house Alcaraz’s cherished memorabilia and equipment.

Crafted with Louis Vuitton’s unparalleled trunk-making expertise spanning nearly 170 years, the trunk is meticulously fashioned from carefully selected wood and adorned with the iconic Monogram canvas at the Maison’s French ateliers. Adhering to tradition, the trunk is embellished with brass clasps, closures, and rivets reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s heritage since the 1860s.

The exterior is adorned with logos inspired by Carlos Alcaraz’s illustrious career, hand-painted onto the classic Monogram canvas. The quilted interior boasts five microfibre-lined drawers, each featuring natural cowhide handles, and a central drawer with woven cotton straps paying homage to historic Louis Vuitton trunks, including the legendary Secrétaire Linge.

Personalized to house memorabilia from Alcaraz’s triumphs, including the attire worn during his Wimbledon victory and a Babolat racket, the trunk also accommodates personal Louis Vuitton items, a Speedy P9 Bag, custom LV x Nike AF1s, and a curated collection of Louis Vuitton accessories. This includes tennis balls, Horizon Light Up earphones, a portable LV Nanogram speaker, a Dopp Kit toiletry bag, and a Nice Mini vanity case. Notably, it also holds Louis Vuitton City Guides for New York (US Open venue) and London (Wimbledon’s home).

Expressing his gratitude, Carlos Alcaraz remarks, “Working on this Malle Vestiaire with Louis Vuitton’s artisans has been a great experience and a privilege. The finished trunk is filled with amazing memories for me, particularly those of winning my two Grand Slams, as well as some of my favorite Louis Vuitton products that I enjoy using, like my Speedy bag and my custom LV x Nike AF1s. I am really proud of what we’ve been able to create together with this collaboration.”

Starting January 2024, clients will have the opportunity to own and personalize their version of the Malle Vestiaire in classic Monogram canvas with a beige microfiber interior. Each trunk will be made-to-order, following the earlier launch of the Monogram Eclipse canvas version with a black interior in September 2023.
