Introducing the 240 Mulberry Street collection by Gant: A Tribute to American Sportswear Heritage

Gant presented its latest collection, 240 Mulberry Street, on October 18, 2023. The collection is a testament to Gant’s unwavering commitment to preserving its legacy as pioneers of American Sportswear and pays homage to the timeless preppy essentials that have defined fashion for decades.

240 Mulberry Street is a celebration of Gant’s iconic pieces, bringing together fundamental classics and contemporary designs that showcase the brand’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

The collection features Gant’s signature styles, such as the Oxford Button-Down shirt and the varsity jacket, reimagined for the modern wardrobe. There are finely tailored blazers, paying homage to the Ivy League Club Blazer, and luxurious outerwear such as the Oversized Shearling Coat and Unisex Leather Varsity Jacket.

To celebrate the launch, the collection has been photographed in the bustling streets of New York by local photographer Kat Irlin.

Every piece in this collection has a purpose and tells a story, it holds all the classics and is built on premium quality and elevated materials that only get better with wear. When creating the Gant 240 Mulberry Street collection, I envisaged the person doing my job in 50 years, discovering these pieces and it became a criteria for the garments to be ‘archive worthy’

Within the collection, exclusive to SSENSE, Gant is proud to introduce a collection of classic Oxford Button-Down shirts made in the USA. This shirt is a symbol of Gant’s commitment to craftsmanship and truly signifies the brand’s homecoming to its US roots.

The shirts are manufactured and assembled in Garland, a town located in Southeastern North Carolina with a rich history in garment manufacturing. The partnership marks Gant’s return to manufacturing in the US, for the first time since 1979.
