Review of Harrods Spring 2023 Ad Campaign by Photographer Jeff Hahn with Models Zhang Wenhui, Halid Nuhu, and Przemek Szubert
Color shines through quietness in Harrods’ Spring 2023 campaign.
Harrods, a storied department store in London, showcases different designers in ensemble for this campaign. The store has garnered notoriety for its strict dress code, barring even professional footballers. So, as one might expect, the clothes on display don’t veer far from a classic canon. But like sunshine piercing through a grey sky, there’s a subdued freshness that enlivens the modest springwear.
With a backdrop of a city skyline or a photography studio, different elements harmonize on the models. Blue gingham echoes a cerulean trench coat and royal blue blazer. Three-quarter and full-length white shirts expand the possibilities of classic silhouettes. And a denim jacket and breton-striped sweater, both worn by Przemek Szubert, are updated via unique distressing and an arch glove motif.
Harrods newest campaign is staid but lively: you’ll get in the store–and look stylish doing so.
