Founded in 2021, the Innovative Menswear Line from Will Now be Available Globally
Issey Miyake is set to give its IM Men line an international launch. After first becoming available in London in June, the line will be available at Issey Miyake stores in New York, Paris, Milan, and Zurich later this month.
Launched by Miyake Design Studio in 2021, IM MEN seeks to pursue new possibilities of design and garment making across menswear categories. The brand draws its influence from the philosophy of ‘im product’ – the product brand active from the late 70s through the 90s – while still upholding Issey Miyake’s core philosophical basis of “a piece of cloth.”
The studio behind IM MEN creates products as a team, leveraging the expertise of each member. who are researchers as well as designers. The brand aims to create products that integrate technology, design, and creation by sharing experimental processes.
The international expansion of the brand follows closely behind that of A-POC Able, another innovative line by Miyake Design Studio that launched in London and New York in April.
