The limited-edition watch returns for pre-order after the brands’ first collaboration in more than a decade sold out within an hour of launch
J.Crew and Timex are bringing back the Timex MK1 for J.Crew, a limited-edition watch that marks the brands’ first collaboration in more than ten years. Originally released on May 28, 2026, the style sold out in under an hour and is now returning through a limited pre-order offering.

The project reunites two American brands with longstanding ties to heritage-driven design. Drawing on Timex’s history in watchmaking and J.Crew’s approach to American sportswear, the collaboration reinterprets the MK1, a model inspired by military field watches and known for its utilitarian design and straightforward functionality.
This edition updates the original silhouette with a gold-tone stainless steel case, quartz movement, and braided brown leather strap. The dial retains the clean, highly legible design that has defined the MK1, while introducing a custom detail developed specifically for the collaboration. A small brook trout illustration, based on an original painting by J.Crew’s in-house watercolorist, appears on the watch face as a reference to the brand’s connection to outdoor pursuits.
The relaunch reflects continued consumer interest in collaborations that combine established product icons with distinctive brand storytelling. For Timex, the partnership extends the relevance of one of its most recognizable designs, while for J.Crew it reinforces a broader strategy of working with category-leading brands to expand its product offering through limited-edition releases.
As brands continue to leverage heritage products and scarcity-driven launches, the return of the Timex MK1 for J.Crew underscores the ongoing appeal of collaborative products that blend utility, craftsmanship, and recognizable design histories.
