Jacquemus to Release a Book of His Favourite iPhone Images

Simon Porte Jacquemus continues to keep busy while balancing a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle, launching his latest project, and his second book, Images, a collection of his favorite iPhone pictures.

The Jacquemus designer took to Instagram to tease the launch with little more than an Instagram story and what the designer called “all my favourite iPhone images in one book”. Going on to share the book will launch next week on September 1 and is available on jacquemus.com.

Long been known for his colorful, Mediterranean inspired Instagram account, which transports followers to lavender fields of his native Provence to beaches of the Canary Islands, the designer balances showcasing his cult accessories collection with his upbeat point of view.

Should the book also include his collaborators – including the French photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, who recently shot Bella Hadid, Barbie Ferreira, and Steve Lacy over Zoom during lockdown – remains to be seen as little was revealed about the publication.

Though the teaser implies that Images promises to evoke the dreamy worldview Jacquemus the designer has stood for: the accompanying Instagram image showed the book’s title in a hot-pink typeface, while a preview of the interior reveals sun-drenched colorful images of a the designers travels and unique point of view.

Images will mark the second photo book published by the designer, the first – Marseille je t’aime, released to coincide with a 2017 exhibition of the same name – explored the region in the south of France where Porte Jacquemus was born and raised, alongside collaborators including Clément Arnaud, Philippine Chaumont, David Luraschi and more.
