Review of Nordstrom Fall 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Rickie De Sole with Photographer Sean Thomas with models Shalom Harlow, Joan Smalls
Nordstrom presents its Women’s Fall Designer Campaign, the first designer campaign with editorial and fashion direction from Rickie De Sole, Nordstrom’s Women’s Designer Fashion & Editorial Director.
The campaign was styled by Tonne Goodman and features models Shalom Harlow and Joan Smalls. Photographer Sean Thomas shot the campaign in Manhattan, with iconic landmarks such as Central Park and The Carlyle featured in the backdrop.
The looks featured speak to the theme of power dressing and signal a return to dressing up after a long few years of delayed events and celebrations.
“For fall, we wanted to echo the energy of the collections that focused on the idea of power dressing. Bold suiting and oversized proportions dominated the runways and in turn, our campaign. From the vibrant tailoring at Alexander McQueen, to Bottega Veneta’s cocoon suit, to Saint Laurent’s perfect le smoking tuxedo, it’s refreshing to lean into dressing that makes you feel ready to take on the world after so much time at home these last few years,” says Rickie De Sole.
Designers featured in the campaign include Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten, The Row, Valentino, Sacai, Marine Serre, Givenchy, Jil Sander, Saint Laurent, Celine, Erdem, Khaite, Stella McCartney, Simone Rocha, Dolce & Gabbana, Carolina Herrera and Versace.
