More than just about debuting a collection, today’s biggest runway shows also serve as engines of experiential storytelling. The best set designs from the Fall 2025 season in New York demonstrated imaginative and innovative thinking on how to translate a brand’s story into an immersive and conversational visual experience that looks great both in-person and on a phone screen.
Here’s another key look at the show sets from the Fall 2025 season in New York that exemplify the savoir-faire of thoughtfully chosen show collaborators and the power of their visual storytelling capabilities.
Thom Browne
Two thousand origami birds roosted on Thom Browne’s set, extending the surrealist atmosphere of the collection and its narrative of craft taking flight.

Ulla Johnson
Ulla Johnson’s show space was delicately anchored by “Le Géante,” a singular bronze poppy captured in mid-bloom by French artist Julie Hamisky – who also lent her creative powers to a jewelry collaboration that further illuminated the collection with wearable art.

Elena Velez
Created in partnership with set designer Evan Jean with production from Aanya Singh, the set at Elena Velez transformed Manhattan’s Artech House into a desolate shore that extended the collection’s castaway high drama.

Carolina Herrera
Carolina Herrera’s Bureau Betak-produced set was “planted” with a field of blooming ranunculus, extending the collection’s themes of renewal and blossoming beauty.

Sandy Liang
With set design by Kat Milne and production from SV Productions, Samantha Vazquez, and Vanessa Gordillo, Sandy Liang’s show saw the designer’s “snow angels” playfully walk across an artificial-snow runway that brought a new perspective to one of New York’s go-to venues.

Khaite
Khaite’s epic runway spectacle – which featured show direction, design, and production by Prodject – set the shadowy halls of the Park Avenue Armory on fire with a circular bright-orange runway.
