Jun Takahashi stumbled upon Australian band Glass Beams on YouTube and showcased his find by projecting their music video during his Spring 2025 men’s show for Undercover. The trio’s psychedelic sound and unique aesthetic captivated the audience.
Takahashi’s collection embraced linen, featuring cloud motifs and lightweight, bohemian jackets. The pieces were decorated with streamers, tassels, and mismatched buttons, deviating slightly from Undercover’s signature streetwear style. However, haunted house motifs and contemplative lace eye masks added a new dimension to the lineup.
Takahashi incorporated brocade cardigans trimmed with gold chains, alongside activewear silhouettes like nylon parkas and oversized sweatshirts in collaboration with Champion. The collection exuded a sense of introspection and elegance, culminating in flowing silhouettes and floor-length skirts in filmy jersey and linen.
Meanwhile, Glass Beams is set to tour Europe and North America following successful shows in Australia, possibly showcasing some pieces from Undercover. Overall, Takahashi’s Spring Men’s Collection for Undercover offered a harmonious blend of diverse influences and styles, capturing the essence of both music and fashion.
