JW Anderson launches Studs capsule collection, expanding upon the pieces initially presented in Milan in January of this year as part of the MAW23 / WPF23 show. The collection features large graphics of vintage male models printed across ready-to-wear including T-shirts, vests, polos, hoodies, underpinnings, and shorts. The eighties-inspired figures are strategically cropped, enlarged and emblazoned across the pieces – posed crouching, torsos prominently stretching across the wearer and in embrace. Accessories including tote bags, scarves, caps, keyrings, and small leather goods also feature the strong graphics. A nod to the core of the capsule which is launching during pride month, a slogan reads ‘Feel free to say hi’, an encouragement of approachability and friendly spontaneity arced in bold caps.
